It is our great pleasure to welcome you here in Havana City to participate in the 6th International Giardia & Cryptosporidium Conference (IGCC) organized by the Cuban Society of Microbiology and Parasitology. IGCC has become an established barometer of the advances made in confronting and controlling Giardia and Cryptosporidium infections throughout the world.

The upcoming conference will be an excellent opportunity to discuss stimulating topics on your latest research findings, addressed in a truly interdisciplinary perspective. The programme includes keynote lectures, presented by international experts in their fields and workshops.

In addition, your contributions may be displayed in a poster exhibition and oral presentation that undoubtedly will generate lively discussions.

Throughout the course of the three day conference, you will have the opportunity to both network and hear leaders from the international academic and scientific communities.

We are sure that Havana, the Cuban capital, with its characteristic hospitality, will provide the ideal atmosphere, so that our delegates benefit from a fruitful scientific exchange and, at the same time, enjoy a few days of relaxation, while they strengthen ties of friendship and collaboration.
